North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2007
Women Into the Network (WIN) are inviting nominations for the eighth North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
These awards are specifically targeted at women owning small and medium enterprises in the region. We are looking at women who have made a difference and made their business a success.
Nominating yourself, a colleague, friend or business partner couldn’t be easier. We’ve introduced a new nomination form which can be downloaded from the website, where you can also find information on key dates, criteria & categories.There are some changes this year, so do make sure you read the information on the website carefully along with the case studies of past winners – find out what winning the award has meant for them and share in their success.
We are moving to the iconic Sage Gateshead to host the 2007 Awards. With capacity for over 700 people and purpose built facilities, it aims to be the best North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards yet!
Don’t put it off for another year, get recognised for your achievements now and make 2007 the year to reap the rewards of your success.

Who Should Enter?
If you are a woman who has set up or taken over an independently owned business (and have been trading for 2 years* or more) or you know a woman who has, take a closer look at the award categories. Success in any one of them could have major benefits to yourself, your company and to those who will recognise your success and seek to emulate your achievements.
*Entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 2 years on 1st August 2007 (with the exception of ‘Best Newcomer’ who should have been trading for at least 6 months & less than 2 years)
How To Enter
1. After reading all the criteria, download the nomination form from the website (http://www.womenintothenetwork.co.uk) & complete.
2. Print off the form and sign it.
3. Attach a good quality photograph and any supporting materials. Each entry MUST include a photograph of the nominee. It should be 6in x 4in minimum (head and shoulders shot) with the name of the nominee on the reverse.
These pictures may be used for PR purposes and will not be returned.
4. Send 3 photocopies + original for each category you enter (we only need one photograph)
5. Send to: Women Into the Network, Durham Business School, Mill Hill Lane, Durham, DH1 3LB by 5.00pm on Friday 21st September 2007.

Tickets for the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards evening at The Sage Gateshead on Friday 16th November are available from the organisers, Women Into the Network.
