We would like to say a big thank you to everybody who submitted a story, as without you the success of this newsletter would not have been possible.
We are now looking forward to the next edition, which we plan to release around mid-August, so if you have anything that you would like to submit for consideration please send a press release of no more than 150 words to philip.marshall@onenortheast.co.uk by July 28th.
International Media visits
Following international exhibitions and overseas activity earlier this year, media from around the world have come to experience the passionate people and passionate places of North East England.
So far this month the International Team has worked alongside NewcastleGateshead Initiative and Northumberland Tourism to welcome six Norwegian journalists and three representatives from DFDS. Their 3-day tour around regional hidden gems and more familiar attractions included NewcastleGateshead Quayside and the Durham Dales as well as an enjoyable insight to the region in the early 1800s & 1900's at Beamish, The North of England Open-air Museum.
Together with England's North Country and support of Northumberland Tourism, the tourism team have welcomed an Italian photo reporter from Milan who will be researching the area, in particular Hadrian's Wall, for a feature in Italian travel publication 'Itinerari e Luoghi'.
And following the launch of a new Pisa to Newcastle route with Jet2.com, two journalists have jetted in to North East England to visit a selection of regional attractions, including Alnwick Castle, The Alnwick Garden and NewcastleGateshead Quayside. Provided with a guide and information on the whole region, they will now tempt their readers to visit.
Over the forthcoming weeks, the International team will host further visits from Dutch and Belgian media in a continued effort to promote North East England as easily accessible, compact, and with fantastic attractions throughout.
