TOURISM DEVELOPMENT UNIT
NorthEast Coastal Framework Final Report
In January the Regional Tourism Team initiated work to set out a clearer path for how tourism could maximise the benefit afforded by the North East coast. The aim of the work was to develop a vision and action plan that would guide tourism development along the region's coast to enable business growth and a quality visitor experience fulfilling current and future market demand.
The result of this work is a report providing independent advice that One NorthEast will be considering and sharing with the four Area Tourism Partnerships to inform thinking on local destination management and development.
We recognise that the work has wider implications for the region; One NorthEast Tourism would therefore welcome views on the report, which can be accessed at www.tourismnortheast.co.uk under Tourism Development and Research.
Please send your responses/comments to Sam Richardson, Tourism Project Manager at sam.richardson@onenortheast.co.uk no later than January 5.
