PUBLICATION SCHEME   OF   THE NORTH EAST REGIONAL PORTAL 2001 LIMITED   ("TNERP")   

Introduction 
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the "Act") requires every public authority (as defined under the Act) to operate and maintain a Publication Scheme specifying the information the public authority publishes or intends to publish and the manner in which the information of each class is, or is intended to be, published.  

Who we are 
The North East Regional Portal 2001 Ltd (TNERP) is a Company Limited by Guarantee with One North East, the Regional Development Agency for the North East of England, as its sole member. TNERP’s purpose is “to create the electronic definition of the Region - a place where individuals, businesses and communities can interact with each other, and where this interaction can be tracked and developed." TNERP is responsible for operating an Internet portal www.n-e-life.com, designed to promote Internet and web-based technologies to individuals, organisations and businesses within the North East of England on a regional, national and international scale.   The purpose of this Publication Scheme is to identify classes of information we make available or intend to make available to the public and to provide details as to how the information can be obtained.   Accessing information covered under our publication scheme   Next to each class of information referred to below, we have indicated the manner in which the information is or will be available to you. Please note, we may charge for access to certain information, or information in a certain format. This publication scheme divides the information published by TNERP into two broad areas with a number of sub-headings under each as follows.

We will publish information about TNERP's organisation and role, including information on its remit, budget, personnel and recruitment policies, Annual Report and Accounts, corporate plans and press releases.

Plans and Strategies  
Corporate Plan   Description: The Corporate Plan describes TNERP's planned expenditure, targets to be achieved and principal activities over a three year period.

Additional Details  
* Administrative Charge   TNERP reserves the right to make an administrative charge for making material available to the public in certain formats. This charge is to cover any direct costs to us including any photocopying and postage charges.  These charges will be specified at the time of the request and are payable in advance.   Monitoring TNERP Publication Scheme   TNERP wants the Publication Scheme to meet the needs of the stakeholders, partners and the general public. Suggestions for particular classes of information, which we should consider publishing are welcome. Any comments or complaints about the Scheme should be sent to the Company Secretary at the address above.  

Complaints Procedure  
If an applicant is dissatisfied with the response from TNERP he/she should raise the matter in writing with the Company Secretary. Should the Company Secretary not be able to resolve the issue, the applicant may make a complaint to the Head of Legal Services at One NorthEast who will undertake a review under One NorthEast’s complaints procedure. If the applicant remains dissatisfied, because TNERP fails to publish information in accordance with its scheme, he/she can seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner.
