PRIME provides loans up to £5,000 for unemployed individuals over 50 who would like to start a business or up to £10,000 to any one business run by two or more eligible individuals with a fixed interest rate of 9.5% over 3 years. Loans need to be covered by credit protection insurance.

PRIME is available in the whole of the North East of England.
Who can apply?
Unemployed individuals over 50 who would like to start a business. There is no sector restriction. Business plan is required.
