Medieval Courtly Combat (05/08/2006 - 06/08/2006) Tynemouth Castle and Priory.  The Plantagenet's Knights in armour perform a medieval: Tournament of Foote!! North Tyneside International Youth Football Tournament (02/08/2006 - 06/08/2006) Churchill Playing Fields, Whitley Bay the tournament attracts teams from all over the world. Established as one of the top events in the country it attracts the attention of scouts from all the professional clubs. With teams of girls and boys in various age categories there will be over 100 teams and 1,500 players. 9th August 2006 Kite Making at Summerhill, Hartlepool.   Summerhill is a 100-acre Council owned site on the western edge of Hartlepool being transformed for the benefit of conservation and outdoor sports.  Malcolm Goodman will show you how to make an aerodynamic invention. Test your creation and Malcolm will give you tips on how to get the best out of your kite. Georgian Fair & Napoleonic Muster (05/08/2006) at Beamish, The North of England Open Air Museum enjoy a day and Beamish and take in the hustle and bustle of an 1825 Fair at Pockerley Manor. Adding to the atmosphere and excitement will be fire eating, corn dolly and basket making, military drills, musket firing, and traditional Northumbrian pipe music.

Napoleonic Muster (06/08/2006) Beamish, The North of England Open Air Museum, Beamish, Stanley, enjoy an exciting and authentic recreation of a Napoleonic recruiting muster in the splendid setting of our 1825 exhibit, Pockerley Manor. Re-enacted by the 68th Regiment of the Light Infantry in full battle dress.
