What type of funding does it offer?
Standard or convertible loans, redeemable preference shares or a combination, i.e. mezzanine finance.
Size of Deals
The size of investments will range between £15,000 and £250,000. The Fund can act as sole or lead investor but will syndicate where appropriate.
In which area is the fund available?
Almost the whole of the North East of England (but there are some very small areas not eligible – for example Ponteland). To find out whether it is available in your area you can contact the fund manager (details below).
Who can apply?
Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) - start-up, expansion, management buy-outs (MBOs) or management buy-ins (MBIs). There are some restrictions based on the activities of the SME and the Fund Manager can let you know what these are on request.
