Hadrian's Wall Heritage

Hadrian’s Wall Heritage Limited was set up in 2006 by One NorthEast, the North West Development Agency and other partners.  It is a not for profit company whose role is to co-ordinate protection, development and promotion of the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site.  The Wall is already one of the best known ancient monuments in Europe but it has the potential to generate even more economic and community value.

The company’s aim is to realise the economic, social and cultural regeneration potential of the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site and the communities and environment through which it passes by sustainable tourism development, management and conservation activities which benefit local communities and the wider region. All this is done in a way that reflects the values embodied in the World Heritage Site Management Plan.
