The remaining land available at Stadium Park is in the ownership of the Agency and arrangements have been finalised for the disposal of land to facilitate the City of Sunderland’s development of the 50m pool and Wellness Centre. Consultants have been appointed to undertake detailed feasibility work on the potential for a sporting complex on the remainder of Site A at Stadium Park, and, following this, a development framework will be prepared for the overall Sports Village concept for the whole of Stadium Park/ Sheepfolds.  The construction of the 50m pool is due to start on site in August 2005 with completion programmed for March 2007.
