Rivergreen Centre, Aykley Heads, Durham

Rivergreen Developments have built an exemplar office building at Aykley Heads in Durham with the benefit of around £500,000 of Single Programme funding secured from One NorthEast through the County Durham Sub-Regional Partnership Programme.

Built using the very latest sustainable construction techniques, the 3,900 square metre (42,000 sq ft) offices feature rammed earth walls, sedum roofs, ground source heat pumps, solar panels and grey water collection and recycling with the intention that the development achieves an “excellent” BREEAM rating.

Aimed primarily at SME occupiers, this development offers excellent office accommodation in a convenient location in Durham and is an exemplar for sustainable development in the region.
