Education, Skills and Employment Committee

The Education, Skills and Employment Committee has now been incorporated into the Business & Skills Committee and was formerly a Standing Committee of the Agency’s Board, which carried out the detailed examination of the following specific areas of the Agency’s activities on behalf of the Board:

• Advise on the development and implementation of the Regional Skills Partnership and the implementation of the Regional Skills Strategy and Action Plan
• Advising upon the Regional Economic Strategy in terms of Education and Skills
• Monitoring the linkages between the Regional Economic Strategy and the Agency’s Corporate Plan
• To make recommendations to the Board on the Education and Skills funding
• Monitor and evaluate Education and Skills projects funded by One NorthEast
• To generally give advice and opinion and make recommendations to the Board on Education and Skills issues
