One NorthEast has six directors. They are appointed to lead the Agency in providing a focus for:

• Realising the aims of the Regional Economic Strategy
• Giving a strategic direction to the development of the North East in the delivery of regional projects
• Communicating the positive achievements of the region
• Promoting the region nationally and internationally
• Fostering innovation through scientific and technological development and promotion
