Business Support Package
One North East is working with partners across the region to help regional businesses through the current economic difficulties. The Real Help for Business and People Now campaign helps both businesses and people to find the support they need. Click here to find out more on the campaign.
The details below explain some of the specific help available for businesses:
Grant for Business Investment: Offers grant support to new and growing companies, creating and/or protecting jobs.
North East Investment Fund: The fund is aimed at providing gap funding for small and medium-sized firms who may not be able to secure financial support from traditional lenders.
North East Co-Investment Fund: Specialises in high growth technology opportunities, working alongside other investors such as business angels and venture capital firms.
Company Rescue Pathfinder: Targeted at North East firms having difficulty paying tax and VAT liabilities. The scheme works to reschedule debts while looking at future company prospects.
Energy Resource Efficiency: The scheme is targeted at helping manufacturing businesses tackle rising energy costs. Teams of specialist engineers work with firms to analyse energy usage and put in place an action plan to cut bills.
