Alison Thain OBE

Alison Thain is Chief Executive of Tees Valley Housing Group, based in Middlesbrough.  The organisation's principal work is in housing led regeneration across the greater Tees Valley and Yorkshire areas and it is seen as a national leader in innovative solutions to housing and regeneration issues, winning a number of prestigious national awards in the field of building sustainable communities.

Alison is a Governor of Teesside University, a past Chair of business leadership organisation Tees Valley Tomorrow, and a Board Member of IGNITE, the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Communities.  She was awarded the OBE in the Queens Birthday Honours in June 2004.

Alison's vast experience in regional housing issues has proved invaluable in the Agency's work to promote and develop sustainable communities.
